Pack 144 Flag Ceremony
In military and patriotic organizations,
flags are known as "color" and the individuals who present them,
the "color guard." Those individuals in the color guard that carry
the flags are called "colorbearers" and those in the color guard
who do not carry flags are called "escorts." The flag ceremony at
pack meetings, den meetings and other functions shall be conducted as
described below. The commands are issued by one of the escorts. Dens should
practice and polish the flag ceremony before they lead it during a Pack
meeting. This makes a good activity for a Den meeting.
